Sourcity City LIVE! Launched
Over 50 suppliers attended the launch of Sourcing City LIVE! at FIVE in Farnborough on Tuesday 22nd November 2011. The brand new event in the promotional merchandise market trade calendar was warmly received, with 32 suppliers booking stands for SC LIVE! at the launch, and many others expressing an intention of being at FIVE in 2013.
Sourcing City also revealed that the principals and senior directors from 166 distributor companies have registered themselves as ‘Supporters of Sourcing City LIVE!’. Each have confirmed that they intend to attend Sourcing City LIVE!, along with the key players from their team.
Prior to the launch, Sourcing City called a cross section of industry distributors, from which 96% confirmed their support for the new event.
Sourcing City LIVE! will be held on the 16th & 17th January 2013 at FIVE in Farnborough. The event will be exclusively for professional promotional merchandise distributor companies.
Having successfully launched Sourcing City Marketplace, a unique networking & learning event for VIP’s & large industry players, in September this year, Sourcing City believe that there is also a place for a ‘by invitation only Product Exhibition’ which includes all ‘professional distributors’.
Only recognised promotional merchandise distributors will be invited. To qualify for an invitation, each distributor company must demonstrate a dedicated and professional approach to the sale of promotional merchandise. Companies not meeting the Sourcing City criteria, or those considering selling promotional merchandise as a minor add-on to their existing core business will not be invited. The event will also have a few innovative surprises which have yet to be revealed.
The concept of Sourcing City LIVE! revolves totally around the quality of distributor visitors. Sourcing City believe that by having only professional distributors in the hall, this will create an ideal environment for relaxed and in-depth conversations for all involved.
When Sourcing City Marketplace was launched, there were questions raised over holding an event in a Southern location. Any concern relating to the location proved to be unfounded, with many important distributors attending Marketplace from the South, North and Midlands, with more flying in from Scotland and Ireland.
