PSI FIRST Award winners announced

Winners of the PSI FIRST 2015 Award have been announced at PSI, the leading European trade show for the promotional products industry.

For the second year the PSI FIRST Club presented exclusive product premieres to the market. 50 suppliers took part, launching never before seen products at the trade show, being held from 7th to 9th January. The best three product premieres have been recognised with the PSI FIRST Award, and here they are:

Mood Rooms, a Cologne-based agency, impressed the jury with URANIA – an acoustic amplifier made from hand blown glass and distributed by Holmegaard, the long established Danish glass manufacturer. URANIA was designed by American glass designer Aric Snee. The trumpet-shaped speaker system can be connected to a Smartphone and the special shape guarantees a “clear as glass” sound. This promotional product combines aesthetics and quality, using traditional craftmanship to create a high-tech and modern product. “An extremely aesthetical and elegant design solution with excellent sound qualities”, the jury agreed. “This promotional product not only offers very high quality but is also absolutely new in this form.”

The second award winner is a flexible mobile holder, from Macma, designed to provide a  suitable surface for your mobile while it recharges. The innovative holder can be hooked on to  the plug using the charging lead, thus offering a neat solution. The advertising message  remains visible even while the mobile is in the holder. The jury found the product to be highly  useful, commenting: “A genuinely innovate promotional product with particularly high practical  usefulness for people who are often on the go or in the office.”

Finally, the third award winner impressed the jury by reinventing an “old” product. Prinopa added new features, functionalities and application options to the already popular multi-month wall calendar. With the BIZTIX® Wall Calendar Deluxe 4, calendar sheets can be removed without previous bending or perforation. As a result, no paper residues remain after removing the sheets. Each calendar sheet can be used individually as well. The wall calendar retains its attractive and “as new” appearance throughout its entire service life. A tidy solution all around.
