Outstanding Branding announce their support for BornSilently Charity

Posted in Company News on Fri 14 Sep 2012

Sarah Penn, Managing Director of Outstanding Branding, has announced today that BornSilently has been selected as the company’s chosen charity for the rest of the year.

BornSilently was founded recently by Bethany Morris, a client of the company, after the harrowing loss of her identical twin daughters, Harriet and Felicity, who were born prematurely on July 2nd this year at just 21 weeks.

Bethany and her husband, Steve, are determined to turn their grief and pain into something positive in memory of their daughters and have set themselves a cycle challenge – they will be setting off from their home in Crowborough and cycling the 326 miles to their daughters’ birthplace in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. During this ride, they will be raising money to support two charities: Tommy's, who research miscarriage still birth and prematurity, and TAMBA (Twins and Multiple Birth Association), who support families with multiple pregnancies. Whilst raising money for the two charities, Bethany and Steve will also raise awareness for the campaign to save the Maternity & Paediatric Units at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton from closure.

Sarah and Outstanding Branding have offered to provide support to Bethany and Born Silently for the rest of the year – including a full set of Craft cycling clothing for Bethany, Steve and their 5 fellow cyclists and supporters on their journey. As well as bearing Outstanding Branding’s logo, these performance cycling kits will show the logos of the charities, details of the cycle challenge, and of course how to donate.

Sarah says: “My own daughter was also born prematurely, 6 weeks early, in March this year, and I count my blessings that she has been fortunately able to thrive. 50,000 babies are born prematurely in the UK every year, so I’m thrilled that Outstanding Branding are able to help raise money for vital research into premature birth.”

The Born Silently Cycle Challenge with depart from The Huntsman in Eridge, East Sussex at 11am on 11th November, Harriet and Felicity’s original due date. The team will ride through London, Cambridge, Peterborough, Lincoln, Scunthorpe and York and along the east of England, ending up in Northallerton on 17th November.
