Lunch & Learn at PSI 2015
PSI is considered to be the leading European trade fair and B2B platform for the promotional products industry. Details of the Lunch & Learn section of the show, which provides visitors with real-world expert knowledge served with a side of snacks and drinks, have been released.
The lecture programme at Lunch & Learn has been designed to provide interesting facts about industry-relevant topics on all three days of the trade show. Exciting presentations on various topics will provide participants with valuable information for their daily work within the industry.
On day one of the trade show (7th Jan) the presentations will be dedicated to product safety. The German Patent and Trademark Office will be providing information on "Protected diversity". Lutz Gathmann, a member of the PSI Design Forum, will be speaking from a practical viewpoint about "CE and GS, two marks for products: What do they mean, what can they do, how do they differ?", and the US industry organisation PPAI will be reporting on "Product safety and compliance for companies manufacturing or distributing in the USA".
On Thursday 8th January, the promotional product itself becomes the centre of attention: Michael Mätzener (Promofacts) will explain, "The power of the promotional product - Touch! Produce! Inspire! Convince!" in his presentation, and Lutz Gathmann will be returning to answer the question, "What must a product fulfil in order to launch it on the market in conformity with ProdSG".
On Friday 9th January, the lectures will examine aspects of sustainability, with Björn Härenstam (Xindao) talking about "XD Apparel, new innovation, technology and sustainability in promotional textiles", and Vera Köppen (Fair Wear Foundation - The WellMade Project) talking about "Sustainable procurement and labour conditions".
The price per lecture is just 10 euros per person (incl. VAT. and snack). For all those interested in Lunch & Learn, click here for valuable information as well as the registration form.
PSI 2015 will be held in Düsseldorf from 7th to 9th January. The trade show underwent a reinvigoration in 2014, introducing new elements like the premiere initiative - PSI FIRST, which showcases never before seen products. In 2014, 852 exhibitors from 33 nations showcased their products and services, and over 16,000 trade visitors from over 65 countries attended. In 2015, PSI will once again reflect the needs of the market with brand-new special areas focussed on textiles and digital and 3D printing.
