Keramikos acquires UK’s largest supplier of sports bottles

Derbyshire ceramics firm Keramikos is set to boost its market range of sales promotional goods with the acquisition of the UK’s largest supplier of manufactured sports bottles, Thermalmate UK Limited of Teesside.

Keramikos is the UK’s largest supplier of ceramics to the promotional market and its managing director Mark Lee is confident that the acquisition will be a positive move for the company: “We have done well previously in our European campaign but this acquisition is a game changer. It will strengthen our product portfolio in the market and I’m very confident it will lead to even more sales of goods that are made in Britain, especially sports bottles and additional products.”

Thermalmate, which was launched in 1998 by entrepreneur Paul Lawrence, will continue to trade as a standalone brand in the highly competitive sales promotional market, alongside the Keramikos range.

Paul, who will remain as divisional director, added: “With new investment in equipment and tooling, coupled with our existing market share in the sales of sports bottles, the future bodes well for both firms to make a greater impression and financial return in Europe.”
