Date for bpma and PROMOTA merger agreed
It was announced at PROMOTA’s annual dinner last night (Monday 1st March), which was held following the first day of the 2010 PROMOTA Show, that negotiations re the merger of the British Promotional Merchandise Association (bpma) and PROMOTA are proceeding and both boards have agreed that the target date for the merger is 1st May 2010.
A statement issued jointly on behalf of the two boards explained, “After extensive discussions we all feel that the interests of our industry would best be served by a merger of the two trade bodies to create one strong, robust association that represents our industry all the way through the supply chain.”
It is understood full details are still being discussed.
