Charter Distributor Status for Redbows Promotional Gifts

Posted in Company News on Wed 10 Aug 2011

Redbows, a leading UK promotional gifts company has achieved Charter Distributor status with the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA). The achievement recognises Redbows’ commitment to operating to the highest possible business standards within the promotional gifts industry and meeting the strict requirements of the Charter Code. The Charter status is open to both promotional gifts suppliers and distributors, whose company practices and documentation are reviewed by members of BPMA Board of Directors.

"I am delighted to see Redbows achieving our BPMA charter status; it’s a reflection of the hard work and dedication by Dawn and her team. The BPMA continues to strive for excellence in Service, compliance and professional standards which is embodied through our charter programme", commented Gordon Glenister, BPMA Director General.

To achieve certification, applicants must agree to adhere to the BPMA Charter Code of Practice and be able to demonstrate their commitment to customer service. This must be in the form of an ISO 9001 or equivalent certified quality management system, and include the submittal of documentation covering non-conformances and customer complaints procedures, as well as ethical, quality and environmental policies. If approved, the applicant company becomes a Charter member and can use the BPMA Charter logo use on its websites, documentation and stationery. Failure to adhere to the Code for Charter members can result in removal of a company’s Charter status.

“This is a landmark year for Redbows and achieving the BPMA Charter status alongside our ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations is a clear indication to the market of our commitment to customer service and quality”, commented Dawn Koffler, Managing Director of Redbows. “The promotional gifts industry is dynamic and expanding following the recent recession. We are proud to be associated with the BPMA and what it is doing to ensure its members achieve the highest possible customer service standards”.
