BTC Group celebrate event success
BTC Group hosted its latest exclusive VIP promotional merchandise Showcase, BTC Group LIVE, at Wembley Stadium on Thursday 24th October 2013. Over 40 merchandise suppliers and 30 clothing suppliers were ready to welcome the VIP guests to the show.
BTC Group LIVE featured 4 zones this year: Merchandise, Clothing, Workwear, POS & Print. Show visitors had a truly vast array of products to browse, from the traditional to the latest innovations. The Sales teams are now working hard to respond to over 800 enquiries.
BTC Group's VIP guests included 16 members of the Microsoft Brand Team, who had a 90 minute team meeting in their own designated boardroom area on the mezzanine level. Both before and after the meeting they were talking to suppliers and looking for products to enhance their 2014 campaigns and product launches.
The buzz word for the day was quality; quality products, quality displays, quality suppliers and quality attendees. Commenting on visitor feedback, Frank Murphy, Managing Director of BTC Group, remarked: “Our customers were amazed at the number of products available to them, the professionalism of Team BTC and our Suppliers, and how we changed their perception of merchandise to that of a more important and strategic part of the Marketing Mix.”
Commenting on the show, a Buyer from Yakult said: “We thoroughly enjoyed the show! We came away very impressed by the vast range of goods and services that are available and by the quality of the suppliers.”
On the mezzanine level visitors walked through a showcase of over 30 corporate programmes from clients such as Santander, Microsoft, Tesco and BBC, giving them additional ideas and inspiration. This, coupled with webshop demonstrations from the BTC design team, further highlighted the benefits of a personalised scheme and how a range of pre-stocked quality products can add value to Brands.
This year the Clothing Zone was enhanced with a Workwear Zone, a new concept for 2013 that allowed customers to consider branded clothing further across their organisation. Many customers commented on the print and embroidery demonstrations and appreciated learning more about digitisation and film separation.
Lunch was served on the mezzanine overlooking the pitch prior to the guests and suppliers experiencing official guided tours around the spectacular venue. Towards the end of the day David Harkin, CEO of 7billionideas, presented how the use of promotional merchandise has helped 7billionideas pick up momentum in their infancy; touching on how BTC Group has played a business mentoring role to his company, which has proved invaluable in their startup.
Jon Birrell, Senior Marketing Manager at BTC Group, commented: “In true industry style, our suppliers were exceptional. They were all set up and ready to go at 10am and their displays looked fantastic… a real credit to our sector!”
