BPMA Goes Into The Regions
The BPMA has appointed nine regional directors following its decision to move some of its events into regions across the UK.
These tailored events will enable the association to reach out to its existing members, as well as potential members, with a range of different activities – with a split between some business focussed and some social events. All the events aim to bring members together.
Gordon Glenister, Director General of the BPMA, commented: “We have been planning this project for some time and I am delighted that we are at the stage that we can move this forward.
“The nine regions we are initially planning to target include the North West, where we will be assisted by Peter Hackin of Silk Promotions; North East - Christine Hesketh of Autograph Promotions; South East including London - Mike Monk of Monk Marketing; South West - Emma Beeson of Tomato Source; Scotland - Craig Sibbald of Creative Promotions; Wales - Dawn Koffler of Redbows; Midlands - Elliot Sampson of Heartlands Business Gifts; East Anglia - Les Wright of Falcon Promotions and Killian O'Sullivan of the Merchandise Factory in Northern Ireland.
“Each of our regional directors come with a wealth of experience and expertise and will add real value to the association and what we offer our members.”
Over the coming months the BPMA plans to work closely with other trade associations who have a regional structure in place, most notably the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Gordon continued: “We have found that some of our members, particularly those in far reaching areas of the country, have felt disconnected with the association as it can become quite costly for them to attend events in London on a regular basis. These events will allow members to engage, learn, network and socialise together.”
