What’s In Store for the Promotional Merchandise Industry for 2011?

Posted in Industry News on Wed 5 Jan 2011

It’s that time of year when we are all peering into our crystal balls and trying to predict what the future product trends will be for 2011 and what will turn out to be the serious issues of the day. So, I’ve asked some industry movers and shakers to give us their comments and we start today with Paul Sung, our Sales Director.

“I expect the promotional merchandise industry to continue to recover slowly in line with economic conditions, with the trend for buyers to source promotional products online continuing to grow.

“Trust will continue to be a key factor for buyers – as important as price. So buyers will choose companies they feel are the best run and most established. We believe we are in a strong position to continue to deliver excellent visitor numbers and lead generation in 2011 and beyond as our visitors want to use a brand they have become familiar with over the last 14 years and I believe our advertisers will focus their marketing, using trusted, experienced partners such as www.promotional-merchandise.org.uk, who know how to generate leads and help them with their online marketing.

”I think we will also see promotional companies invest higher proportions of their budgets in online marketing in 2011, fuelled by uncertainty regarding industry trade shows and publications.”

We will continue to publish the views of others in the industry and if you wish to contribute, please use the facility below or email me direct.

As for product trends for 2011, that will be the subject of our January feature, and if you haven’t already done so, please submit your company’s predicted star product info and a pic by 14 January. You can email me at editor@Promotional-merchandise.org.uk
