Touch of Ginger Wins Contract to Supply 2012 Souvenirs

Posted in Product News on Fri 13 Aug 2010

It’s always nice to know that someone reads the news and the editorial comment on this website and it’s even nicer when someone responds. And that’s exactly what Alison Bateman of Touch of Ginger did.

In the July Editor’s Column I mentioned that I hadn’t heard much about companies supplying merchandise for the London 2012 Olympics and Alison quickly let me know that Touch of Ginger is now official licencees for London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games souvenir products and has just launched its first initial range of products.

Whittlesford-based Touch of Ginger creates designer gifts such as pocket-sized survival kits, wallet tools and seed pods for the retail market and corporate customers.

Under the terms of the deal, Touch of Ginger will initially produce wallet tools, limited edition playing cards and precision construction kits using recycled stainless steel. It will also have the opportunity to pitch other designs to LOCOG in the run up to London 2012.
